About Us
A small family beekeeping operation in Nailsea, North Somerset, started in 2023, now with a second apiary in Hewish.
Who We Are
We started keeping bees in 2023 after a long-standing curiosity finally got the better of us. We joined the North Somerset Beekeepers Association, went through their training, and haven't looked back since.
It's a proper family effort. Our two girls love coming along to the hives, and everything we do — from inspections to jarring — gets done together. We keep our bees in the town and our honey is made here, not blended from somewhere else.
In 2026 we expanded to a second apiary in Hewish, a small hamlet with its own mix of hedgerows and forage quite different from Nailsea. Our family matriarch, Mandy, now looks after the hives out there, taking advantage of the differing fauna the hamlet has to offer.
At the end of each season we extract and jar everything by hand — and each apiary's honey is extracted and processed separately, never blended together, so the unique flavour of both Nailsea and Hewish honey is preserved. The beeswax from our hives goes into all our wax products, so what you buy is genuinely made from start to finish by us.
Part of the Community
We're members of the NSBKA and try to put something back in. We help out as trainers at their training apiary and volunteer with the swarm collectors — picking up swarms across Nailsea, Clevedon and the surrounding area so they end up somewhere safe.
